Chris Brown needs your help, he says, to get radio play [poll]

Cb Chris Brown appears to have reached out to his fans Wednesday on the website SayNow.com, asking for their help in getting more airplay for his singles. Guess he didn't get the memo that things are tough all over? Still ...

"It's on the fans and what you guys do [whatever is] in y'all power to bring me back because that's all I need, is you guys," the message at the C. Breezy account says. "Nothing else will do that except for the fans. There's nothing else that I can do. I'm doing everything that I need to do. I'm doing me as a person and I'm a better guy. But it's on y'all.

We here at the Ministry know all too well that Chris Brown fans are a loyal and expressive bunch, never shy when it comes to speaking out. So extremely not shy, as a matter of fact, that we often can't publish a lot of what is submitted on posts about C.B.

So we don't doubt that fans will call up a storm, even if the C. Breezy SayNow account has seen only a bit more than a quarter-million listens to all 35 of its messages. The question is, will it make a difference? (And would being heard more on the radio be good for Chris?)

Our Department of Absolutely Accurate Online Statistics presents a nonscientific online poll:

P.S.: Regular readers know that we don't publish comments that include profanity (even the mild stuff, even if you put in dashes or asterisks) and we also don't publish comments calling for physical harm to others -- so don't say we didn't warn you.

I love christ i know what he did was wrong but he has paid for his mistakes, so let the man get on wit his business of singing and dancing for his fans wich i one of his biggest fans.

come on they still played r kelly and mj and they were accused of molesting kids. He made a mistake, he is young, he deserves a secnd chance. How can we show our youth they have to work hard but they will get a second chance if you prove yourself.

He said sorry, he's redeeming himself. If TI did, so can Chris Brown

Im sorry but what he did is inexcusable. This youngster bashed his girlfriends head into a window, punched her in the face and tried to push her out of a moving car. All those ladies out there defending him should be ashamed of yourselves. Next time he might go further and could kill someone with that kind of bottled up rage. Usually people tend to get more violent after every incident. One day its verbal then a little shove then maybe a slap. who knows how bad the snap is.

i believe if chris brown just had true fans like me that he would overcome his past. i hate what these people are trying to do to him, people may say they are true FANS and some are but its also ones that say they are fans when he start going big. What i learn about young teenage girls is when one person that they like in the industry falls off there game and another fine artist come out they lose interest in the other guy, but not with me I LOVE CHRIS BROWN through his ups and downs WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES AND WE ALL LEARN FROM IT, GIVE HIM ANOTHER CHANCE JUST HOW YOU WILL WON'T SOME ELSE TO DO YOU. IT ALL GOES BACK TO TREAT PEOPLE THE WAY YOU WANT TO BE TREATED.

Nobody knows what happened in that car but Chris and whats her face i am not really a chris fan but like my mom said no one has the right 2 judge anybody because in u look into their pass it will not be so clean. One more thing that mom used 2 say that if u want to play a man than take what ever u get as a man.

Please put Chris Brown's music back on the radio. He has taken this mistake seriously, and now he's paying it back. He even apologized. Please put his music back on the radio. Chris Brown has always been my favorite singer. I understand he made a big mistake, but celebrities make mistakes and learn from their mistakes. so I'm telling you today and now put his music back on the radio.

Chris Brown made a mistake, and it was not on purpose, he made a mistake, and he learns from his mistake. he has right to have his music back on the radio.

Chris Brown deserves another chance, he should not have ever been blackball from the start, he made a mistake he's paying for it. The radio station should be playing his music whit all the crap they are playing, good music should be heard also.

like do you all know how much times he's apologized??? Like geeze, play his music already!!!!!! :D

Pathetic to be begging to the public.

I wonder if her really does understand what he did was wrong.

Most radio stations are owned by conglomerates, so calling them probably won't help. Now, if there is deregulation and the broadcasting cartels are forced to sell their stations to smaller concerns, there could be a chance that fans' requests will make a difference. Doesn't matter what type of music I like, cause very few commercial stations are indie enough to play what people want to hear.

Maybe radio doesn't care much for his music anymore...well there's always payola...

It's so funny to me that he's begging for this. Isn't he still a millionaire? Maybe if he gave it some time and actually appeared sincere, his career would revive of its own accord. It's only been a year and he expects everything to be forgotten. I don't know what happened in that car either, but I do know Rihanna looked awful and it took Chris a very long time to issue an apology. He was charged and is now doing community service so let's please not pretend that he didn't do anything wrong. It's pretty obvious he was guilty of assault. Instead of pleading like a little baby, he should lay low and focus on making some good music. I, for one, never liked his songs and I'm glad they're off the radio. Knowing this about his character certainly hasn't helped me to become a fan.

Chris, do you still have lots of money in the bank, a roof over your head, food, clothes, etc.? I'm pretty sure you do. You look extremely pathetic asking people (many of whom are unemployed or struggling to survive in this economy) for more money. Calm down, open your eyes and gain some perspective. I'd rather give my money to real people who are suffering than an overhyped, super entitled child like yourself. Be grateful for what you have and learn to deal with the consequences of your actions.

YES i loved chris way be4 wat happened and i was upset at wat he did...but he can totally have my vote with coming back....go chris

i think so becuse people need to made ther busins and stay of chris and for grt what went down feb 8 2009.

I have one thing to say:

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Neither of you should be throwing anything. Thank you.

Chris Brown's record sales don't necessarily have anything to do with Rhianna or radio play, because people just aren't buying music nowadays mainly because of the internet (downloading), and rap and r&b isn't what it used to be like in the 90's and all the way up to 2006.

I am a new fan of Chris Brown. I purchased Graffiti and I must say it was well worth the money. This is a very talented young man. He and his former friend were equally responsible for the altercation which occured over one-year ago. I have had enough of hearing about these two "children" and a teenage love affair. The media should spend more time focusing on adult men such as, Charlie Sheen, Mickey Rourke, Sean Penn, Tommy Lee, Eminem, Andre Agassi, John Mcenroe, Don Cornellus, Jay-Z, and Gucci Mane if you want to have a discussion of violence against women. Chris Brown was a teenager, the adult media should spend more time worrying about adult's and their behaviors and leave this young man alone!

They should play his music more instead of rihanna i'm tired of people feeling sorry of her i'm sick of it i hate rihanna for reals. i'ma give him my support

Christie D'Zurilla here from the blog with a gentle reminder, echoing what's in the "P.S." on the post, that we don't publish profanity in comments, even if you put an ast*risk in it.

If you don't see your comment going live, that's probably why.

I strongly believe people need to move on from this whole ordeal and forgive Chris! They shouldn't let his personal life-issues dominate his career. Everyone has to admit that Chris is a very talented artist! I mean people act like Chris just beat Rihanna out of the blue!? I don't think so, she had to have had provoked him in some way! He probably told her to stop pushing him past his limit, and she kep at it. No, I'm not saying that what he did was okay, but he made a mistake and he's paying for it. PLAY HIS MUSIC FOR GOODNESS SAKE! LOL

LOve u boo!!!! i got ur back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

lol... chris do what you must....i'm backin you.... your album did ok... which means that you'll stay with your record label... keep promoting it.... igore the stupid people.... they are only one out of billions... do you....

i think chris brown needs take care of his own actions

Keep going Chris you music is superb
