Perez Hilton, Black Eyed Peas manager settle civil suit
A settlement has been reached in a civil lawsuit filed by Perez Hilton against Liborio Molina, the Black Eyed Peas manager who allegedly punched the blogger in a Toronto nightclub last year, and a judge is dismissing the case.
Terms were not discussed, but TMZ reports that the money will be given to charity.Perez, meanwhile, continues his good works on the interwebs: His "Quote of the Day" today is from Paul Reubens, a.k.a. Pee-wee Herman -- a quote highlighted presumably because, out of context, it's titillating, and it actually includes the word "titillating." Perez's website attributes the "Quote of the Day" to a Details magazine article.
Seems Team Perez has slow readers, however ...
... the day the article was published fell somewhere around November 2009. Slow at math? With rounding, that's approximately three or four months ago, depending when the mag hit the stands.
Now, if you bothered to read the source article, you'd see that Details actually pulled that Reubens quote from an interview the actor did with Stone Phillips on "Dateline NBC."
An interview that aired on a day that fell in April 2004.
Yes, the year two-thousand-and-four. With rounding, that's just shy of six years ago.
Further seizing on the timeliness of this "Quote of the Day" -- and ignoring the context of the "Dateline" interview, which Reubens did after he was cleared of errant child porn allegations made in 2002 -- Perez illustrates the post with completely unrelated mug shots of Reubens taken July 26, 1991.
With rounding, that's approximately a lifetime ago. Seriously. Taylor Lautner was born a little more than six months later.
Our favorite petty part? In Perez's version of the quote, the word "titillated" is misspelled.

Here at the Ministry, we like to deliver our news within a month or two of it happening, though we're OK with employing the whole "titillating" tactic. Check out Gary Coleman and his penis, hot-bodied hunks and hunkettes and the gang from "Jersey Shore." Want to play it straight? Go for celebrities who are ill, celebrities who are breeding and the glitz of the Golden Globe Awards, which we recently were reminded happened on Jan. 17, not Jan. 23.
We haven't written a lot about Adam Lambert since his birthday, but his fans are apparently the most lovable and polite people on the planet, so you might enjoy reading their comments. Chris Brown fans? They're a little angrier, though no less devoted.
And hey, that might be you.
