Matt Kemp throws Rihanna a surprise (and surprising) birthday party
Fortunately, good friends aren't distracted at all by the likes of an elaborate surprise birthday party and spending the weekend together, so the shindig the Dodgers star threw Rihanna on Saturday in Phoenix is totally within the lines.
The surprise bash included about 40 guests from both sides of the aisle. Even though, of course, there's not really an "aisle" either. Matt "really wanted to do something nice for Rihanna this year," a source told the New York Daily News, "since she didn't have much of a 21st birthday last year."
Hey, thanks, Chris Brown.
Backed by his new two-year, $11-million contract, he sprung for a diamond necklace for the birthday girl, plus tiki torches, cupcakes, gifts of Champagne and Scotch in engraved bottles, and the services of a Jamaican chef who whipped up snacks for the guests.
Kemp also presented her with a cake that was decorated with her 13 tattoos. (Not sure how many of them were rendered in reverse.)
Good to know that the "no distractions" category also includes Rihanna's personal exotic birthday dance (there's video) from Bridget Powers (a.k.a. Bridget the Midget), a bisexual little-person stripper and adult-film actress who also appeared in the 2009 attempted comedy "I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell."
We learn something new every day.
Rest easy, sports fans. Nothing to see here.
