John Mayer back on Twitter; year 2010 now free to proceed
We thought we had a feeling of time standing still -- turns out it was just John Mayer taking a break from Twitter.
Or, as he put it on New Year's Day, a "cleanse."
It was, he was, "amazing." His plans for future tweeting include "Fewer tweets, more links... longer phrases."
Dang, we wish we got such bang for our social-media buck.
Perhaps the cleanse has simply freed him to speak his mind, rather than tweet it, as he did Monday night while playing an exclusive acoustic set at London's Hard Rock Cafe in advance of his UK tour, which launches Friday.

P.S.: For those of you wondering why John didn't take to Twitter to deny ludicrous rumors that he'd come between Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner, all we can say is, "blame it on the cleanse." Everyone knows John is all about bringing people together.
