J.Lo, lunch lady? Yes, if 'Glee' gets its way -- and if she can walk away from 'Lopez Tonight'
Ryan Murphy said it backstage Sunday at the Golden Globes, and today it was confirmed: "Glee," the winner for best comedy or musical, is trying to lure Jennifer Lopez as a guest star.
“I have a meeting with Jennifer Lopez in a couple weeks,” Murphy said Sunday night. “She wants to come on. We want her to be a cafeteria lady.”
No need to wait to see J.Lo on TV, however -- this very evening she's stepping into George Lopez's shoes in the role of talk-show host.
Hey, the program is called "Lopez Tonight." Nobody said it had to be George -- as J.Lo points out so very, ahem, delicately in her opening monologue.

Is it just me or is that a teeny bit offensive; a Latina as as the lunch lady? Just saying.

@sizzle_star -- CDZ here from the Ministry. If you've watched "Glee," you know how they play with stereotypes.

If you don't like it, then don't be a latina lunch lady, or maybe you could start a program to help latina lunch ladies get out of the kitchen and into a line of business you don't find offensive.
The reality is that in CA, a lot of school lunch servers are hispanic, so I guess you're offended by reality? Reality offends me too, I've just always been embarrassed to say so for fear of looking...insane. :P

I'm thrilled Glee won a Golden Globe. I've been on board with them from the beginning. I don't think anyone should take offence to J.Lo being in the lunch lady role, She did play a maid in Manhattan. Didn't hear any rumblings of anyone being insulted then. The diva; J.Lo as a lunch lady. Who can imagine it? This is what comedy is.
