A Honolulu television station, KITV, is reporting that conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh was taken to a hospital with chest pains. The station reported Wednesday that paramedics responded to a call at 2:41 p.m. (that’s 4:41 p.m. Pacific time) from the Kahala Hotel and Resort, where Limbaugh is vacationing.

The station, citing unnamed sources, said paramedics treated Limbaugh and took him to the Queen’s Medical Center in serious condition.

[Updated at 10:42 p.m.: Limbaugh’s radio show said in a statement that Rush is resting comfortably at a Honolulu hospital, where he was taken with chest pains. H.R. Kit Carson, the EIB Network’s ‘chief of staff,’ said his boss is on a vacation that started Dec. 23 and will run through Jan. 4.

Updates can be heard on Thursday’s radio program and can be found at Rush’s website.

No word, however, on whether there was a stack of stuff at his bedside.]

TMZ has confirmed that paramedics did go to the hotel at that time, though the patient with ‘chest discomfort’ was not identified.

Queen’s spokesman N. Makana Shook says the hospital is unable to comment on the report, according to the Associated Press. Limbaugh was seen golfing at Waialae Country Club earlier this week. The country club is next to the Kahala Hotel and Resort.
