PREACH IT! Meet the ladies of the Tiger Woods scandal

It has been brought to my attention that maybe the media is being a little unfair with this whole Tiger Woods-and-his-harem-of-strumpets angle. Per certain columnists, this angle is sexist, because Tiger Woods gets to stay Tiger Woods, the troubled mega-billionaire athlete, while the ladies remain mere one-sided flakes, assigned to one-word descriptors such as “model” or “waitress.”

“In the same way that the man in this tabloid drama gets the benefit of ad nauseam motivational dissection, so should the women,” Robin Givhan of the Washington Post intoned this week.

She is right. The lopsided coverage has been absolutely unjust. Tiger may be the only famous person in this story, and the only character in this drama that any celebrity gossip connoisseur or golf fan really cares all that much about, and the whole point of all of these hundreds of stories about a self-described family guy who turned out to be a ginormous liar, but these anonymous waitresses and models are people, dang it. It is my duty, if you’ll allow, to flesh them out and bring you all the information out there about them.

Because if there’s one thing I’m sure you’ve been wondering over the last few weeks, it’s, “Just what is Jaimee Grubbs' stance on cap and trade?”

Cori Jaimee Grubbs: Enjoys sparkly facial decor, as well as scintillating conversation -- with reporters. While some of Tiger’s ladies have been almost silent, Grubbs has revealed much information about her time with Tiger, both before and after his car accident. She is not to be mistaken for ...

Jamie Jungers: An aspiring model, Jungers, at top, is reportedly mulling a move to the Big Apple to pursue her dream; she was apparently seen eyeing an apartment with a $3,000-per-month rent. Her modeling specialty is underwear; however, she is a desirable commodity as a spokeswoman as well. She just inked a deal to rep the site BidHere.com. Not to be mistaken for ...

Rachel Uchitel: Has family in Palm Beach, Fla., where she recently fled to escape paparazzi scrutiny. A former employee of Bloomberg News; apparent recipient of death threats. Not to be mistaken for ...

Cori Rist. A 31-year-old divorced mother, above right, and former exotic dancer at the Penthouse Executive Club in Manhattan, but not, she insists, a $1,000-an-hour call girl, as one pimp has alleged. Not to be mistaken for ...

Sampson Holly Sampson: An adult film star, left, who has appeared in such movies as "OMG, Stop Tickling Me" and "Flying Solo 2." Not to be mistaken for ...

Mindy Lawton: A pancake waitress; she owns at least one pair of red panties with black lace.

And those are just a few. But see? These people are people.

Why is no one getting to know them?
