Michelle Duggar and husband Jim Bob have welcomed daughter No. 19, Josie Brooklyn, into the family a little earlier than expected, after an emergency C-section Thursday evening.

Josie weighed 1 pound, 6 ounces. She wasn’t due until March 18 -- hence the ‘and counting’ in the name of the family’s reality show, ‘18 Kids and Counting: A Very Duggar Life.’

Josie is in neonatal intensive care at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, and a statement from TLC says mom is resting and the baby is stable and looking at an extended NICU stay. Michelle had been rushed to the hospital last weekend with what a TLC network rep said were gallbladder issues.

‘The pain from a gallstone was generating some contractions,’ the rep said. On Monday, People reported that the doctor taking care of her said they had ‘every reason at present’ to expect a healthy pregnancy to continue.

Congrats to the Duggars, and positive vibes going out for tiny Josie’s continued health.

We’d send you a baby gift, but we’re guessing you all already have at least 18 of whatever we’d pick up.
