The Duggar family welcomes baby Josie Brooklyn early

Duggar Michelle Duggar and husband Jim Bob have welcomed daughter No. 19, Josie Brooklyn, into the family a little earlier than expected, after an emergency C-section Thursday evening.

Josie weighed 1 pound, 6 ounces. She wasn't due until March 18 -- hence the "and counting" in the name of the family's reality show, "18 Kids and Counting: A Very Duggar Life."

Josie is in neonatal intensive care at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, and a statement from TLC says mom is resting and the baby is stable and looking at an extended NICU stay.

Michelle had been rushed to the hospital last weekend with what a TLC network rep said were gallbladder issues.

"The pain from a gallstone was generating some contractions," the rep said. On Monday, People reported that the doctor taking care of her said they had "every reason at present" to expect a healthy pregnancy to continue.

Congrats to the Duggars, and positive vibes going out for tiny Josie's continued health.

We'd send you a baby gift, but we're guessing you all already have at least 18 of whatever we'd pick up.

P.S. We're big Boppy fans, actually. Especially the zebra print ones.

They are SO lucky to have delivered 18 healthy, full term babies without any complications. This is DEFINITELY a sign that it's time to stop, for the sake of Michelle's health and any future babies. Could you imagine if she had this complication again and didn't make it? The older kids have enough responsibility taking care of their younger siblings (something I do not agree with) with the help of their mother. And how in the world would he cope with losing his wife, taking care of that many kids, and helping his kids cope? They need to start thinking about these things before something terrible like that happens.
