John Stamos caught up in alleged extortion plot

Stamos Well, he's not exactly David Letterman, but apparently John Stamos can get extorted just as well as the next guy

That's alleged extortion, of course. Two people were arrested Dec. 2 in connection with an FBI sting aimed at busting a plot to extract $680,000 from Stamos -- "Mr. X" in the affidavit obtained by the Smoking Gun -- so that pictures taken during a 2004 party wouldn't be sold to the tabloids and cause harm to the "Full House" and "ER" actor's reputation.

Officers raided the Michigan home of Allison Coss, 23, and Scott Sippola, 30, finding photos of Stamos, Stamos' personal cellphone number and contact information for three tabloid magazines, the FBI said.

Coss and Sippola are currently out on bail.

The pictures reportedly are of John posing with fans, his rep said, adding that the images will be made public "at the conclusion of the investigation and hearing."

See you in court.

Too bad the FBI and the DOJ don't afford the same type of service to regular people that they do for the rich and famous

The DOJ's FBI is very adequate in protecting the rights of all citizens no matter how popular the individual / victim. Its the media that creates (or adds to) the celebrity.
