The two were in Washington, D.C., over the weekend for a Sunday night tribute to Bruce Springsteen, one of five artists receiving Kennedy Center Honors this year. Vedder performed an acoustic version of Bruce's “My City of Ruins,” with a gospel choir.
Vedder popped the question Friday night, E! says.
Also at the Kennedy Center, either watching or presenting or performing: President Obama and first lady Michelle, Melissa Etheridge, Jon Stewart, Meryl Streep, Martin Scorsese, Harvey Keitel, Ed Norton, Sharon Stone, Ben Stiller, Matthew Broderick, Martin Short, Ben Harper, Harry Connick Jr., Jack Black and Jane Krakowski, among others
