[POLL] USC-UCLA 2009 is decided -- now it's UCLA vs. USC vs. 'Glee'
The Bruins and Trojans met Saturday night and, after a bit of a crowd kerfuffle on the field, the crosstown rivalry was settled for yet another year.
But this is Hollywood, and there's one last score to settle: UCLA versus USC versus the coaches, football players and cheerleaders of the Fox series "Glee."
[For the record: A previous version of this post said the teams met Friday night. Why did it say that? Because the Ministry clearly needed some sleep. The 2009 incarnation of the UCLA-USC game, which the Ministry did indeed watch, was played Saturday, Nov. 28, with a 7 p.m. kickoff.]First, the players:

Mary McNamara's article on Jane Lynch was the best "dish" and the most incredible writing. I love Jane Lynch's work since I first saw her in A MIGHTY WIND (followed by BEST OF SHOW...on cable.) She is so under-rated and I did not realize until Ms. McNamara pointed it out but she is like Eve Arden. Just a delightful, consummate performer. I am never disappointed if Jane is in a role. Thank you for the great article and the insight on Ms. Lynch!

Hey, Carole V. Bartholomeaux, it's Christie D'Zurilla. Check out the "related links" and you'll see that I just now dropped in the link to Mary McNamara's article on Jane Lynch, for those who haven't read it. Mary is, in my opinion, a terrific writer, and when she gets a great subject the results are very worthwhile.
If you like the character of Sue Sylvester and are in the mood for a laugh, check out the character's Facebook page. It's a riot.

Mary McNamara's article was spot-on - so happy that Jane Lynch is finally getting the recognition she deserved, I don't know, at least 5 years ago??
Sue Sylvester handily wins the coaching poll. She also wins the "Best Choice of a Basic Uniform with Infinite Permutations" category.
