If Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck are your parents, getting to school is a little more complicated than remembering to tote that sack lunch. At one nursery-school-to-the-stars in Santa Monica, the paparazzi regularly outnumber the crossing guards. A new report suggests ‘visible police presence’ may help protect the famous and not-famous alike, according to L.A. Now.

Little matters such as 1st Amendment rights and access to public streets limit what can be done, however, the report points out.

As reported by the Santa Monica Daily Press, a visit to the school by a city councilman got the ball rolling this year. Councilman Richard Bloom ‘reportedly witnessed photographers hooking their cameras onto a fence, some even climbing up the divider between the playground and a nearby alley.’

All because somebody will pay for pics of Jennifer Garner with bed head, I guess.
