If you’re living off $1,700 a month from Social Security, doesn’t $2,500 a month for dining out sound like a budget buster?

Looks as if that math has finally been done by Michael Jackson‘s dad.

Joe Jackson is petitioning his son’s estate for a ‘family allowance,’ asserting that while Michael was alive, he was dependent on his son for money that came via estranged wife Katherine Jackson to cover more than $20,000 a month in living expenses.

Papa Joe would like also the money to be retroactive to Michael’s June 25 death, please, according to court documents (via E! Online).

We can’t find any request in the court docs, however, to deliver a paper sack full of unmarked bills to the back door of Joe’s Las Vegas digs.

Were we wrong to look?
