'Living With Ed' star Ed Begley Jr. goes ballistic on Fox News over global warming
Ed Begley Jr. has hardly made a secret of his passionate beliefs about global warming/climate change. It's kind of hard to go subtle when you have a Discovery Channel series sharing your version of an ecologically acceptable lifestyle.
Still, Stuart Varney on Fox News' "Your World With Neil Cavuto" probably didn't expect the Hurricane Begley that blew through the show Tuesday night.
A look at the "Living With Ed" bloopers suggests that Begley might not always be the calm, grounded, mellow, Birkenstockish guy he appears to be. Maybe Varney didn't check first?
All's well that ends well; Ed leaves Stuart with a laugh.
Still, the Ministry believes that watching a celebrity go absolutely bat-wing bonkers over light bulbs is good, clean fun.

Well, he's right.

I saw the interview live!
.
Begley's exploding head was hotter than global warming---and much more entertaing than his amateur acting and ridiculous point of view.

Why would it matter if you saw the interview live? Does that say anything? Begley was actually quite reasonable. What people are surprised about is that he raised his voice because he was "debating" with someone incapable of talking rationally rather than with bullet-pointed fears.

Begley is an idiot. Hansen, the most famous warmist climate scientist is only degreed in physics. Also, peer reviewers are volunteers and don't guarantee the accuracy of what they review. In fact, climate science peer review is so loose that it permits authors to review their own work. See Pieldke, Sr. (climate scientist) documentation. http://pielkeclimatesci.wordpress.com/2007/06/20/documentation-of-ipcc-wg1-bias-by-roger-a-pielke-sr-and-dallas-staley-part-i/

If the science really is on your side, calm down. Act like you have the facts on your side.

Ball - istic is right. Hang in there, Ed, and thanks for standing up to more of the same old attempts to mislead.

The usual crap and fear mongering from Fox. Good for Ed for challenging them on their propaganda.

Stuart Varney did a great job, Ed Begley Jr. wouldn't let Varney ask a question. Since when is the debate over "Climate Change/Global Warming/Global Dimming/Global Cooling" over? Debates are not ended by choice, they are ended when the facts are presented. The problem with “Man Made” Global Warming / Climate Change and the like is that the raw data backing the claims has never been released. Why do you think that Phil Jones hates the fact that Pat Michaels wanted to see the raw data. If the data were accurate and did indeed show what is purported by Jones, why not share the data? That alone is reason enough to question the whole deal... Also Begley Jr. gets right down to the point; Ed says that he thinks that the government should come into peoples' houses and tell them what light bulbs to use, and what temperature to set their thermostat to.
Ask yourself one question. How come the "answer" to solving the "climate change problem" always involves taxation? Why do all of the "answers" equate to reduced freedom? These are important questions.

Ed Begley doesn’t get it, the emails show suppression of peer-reviewed papers!
"I can’t see either of these papers being in the next IPCC report. Kevin and I will keep them out somehow – even if we have to redefine what the peer-review literature is!" – Phil Jones, Director Climatic Research Unit (CRU)
Somebody might want to let Ed know that even still an extensive amount of skeptical peer-reviewed papers exist,
450 Peer-Reviewed Papers Supporting Skepticism of “Man-Made” Global Warming
http://www.populartechnology.net/2009/10/peer-reviewed-papers-supporting.html
Now if Ed wants to talk to someone with a degree in climatology he can talk to,
Patrick J. Michaels, Ph.D. Ecological Climatology, Research Professor of Environmental Sciences, University of Virginia, Former State Climatologist for Virginia, Contributing Author and Reviewer, IPCC
I find it hillarious that he insults scientists with degrees in Physics as not qualified…
James Hansen, Ph.D. Physics
Joe Romm, Ph.D. Physics
Way too funny!

Let's say Mr. Begley is wrong. Global warming is false. Fine, but doesn't it make sense that if we can live more effeciently, use less energy, pollute less, that we all would be better off?
BTW, France has restricted use of incandescent light bulbs to less than 100 watts only , and is soon ,if not already restricted the sale of incadescent light bulbs entirely.

What a clown.
I thought libbies were supposed to be all about freedom of speech, and freedom of expression?
All I hear is him whining, "STOP SAYING THAT!" to the interviewer, like some religious zealot or a spoiled child covering his ears and shouting.
Regardless of the facts, he's a pathetic representative of a "green" movement.
When will people learn that actors are NOT intellectual giants, and as such, their opinions are rarely worth anything?
