2009 American Music Awards: the red carpet arrivals
Kelly Clarkson sparkled in black with silver sequins, and Shakira made a splash in brilliant, skimpy yellow as stars from the music realm came out Sunday afternoon at L.A.'s Nokia Theater, heading into the 2009 American Music Awards.
Perez Hilton hit the red carpet, all platinum blond in a black-trimmed, white tuxedo -- maybe eager to see the Black Eyed Peas?
Just a few names from the full slate of performances on tap: Jay-Z and Alicia Keys. Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez. Carrie Underwood and Chris Urban. Adam Lambert, Shakira and Rihanna.
Alas, no Taylor Swift. But hey, we've seen her a lot lately.
