Nardine Saad writes about entertainment and celebrity culture. The former Los Angeles Times Metpro worked for latimes.com and in metro covering breaking news, cops and courts. And though she aspired to be Lois Lane, the investigative world of daily journalism was doing nothing for her superhero-boyfriend search.
She has since turned in her notepad for TextPad.
Saad received undergraduate degrees in Literary Journalism and Psychology and Social Behavior from UC Irvine, and a graduate degree in online journalism from USC, where she wrote her master’s thesis about the cultural history of the T-shirt. Seriously. She has also worked for the Associated Press, BBC Los Angeles, OC Weekly and The Daily Breeze.
She currently works as a web producer for the Times’ Calendar section writing for Ministry of Gossip, Show Tracker and Hero Complex. The “Harry Potter”-obsessed writer has thus taken a special interest in television, celebrity baby news, the Kardashians and X-Men. Truth.
