Jay-Z and Alicia Keys: Rock me out to the ballgame

Before Game 2 of the World Series between the Yankees and the Phillies on Thursday night, fans were treated to a live performance by Alicia Keys and Jay-Z singing ‘Empire State of Mind.’

According to the Faded Youth Blog, the tune has been an unofficial Yankees playoff anthem, usually heard when Derek Jeter is walking to the plate.

Guess it helped to fire up the home team -- the Yankees evened up the series going into Game 3 on Saturday in Philadelphia.
