First there was his Oscar-winning turn in ‘The Dark Knight.’ And ‘The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus’ will open Dec. 25. Now add another line to the list of posthumous releases of Heath Ledger’s work: A video he directed for childhood friend and Australian rapper No Fixed Abode (a.k.a. N’fa) is now online.

This isn’t the first posthumous release of a video directed by Ledger; he helmed the Modest Mouse ‘King Rat’ video that premiered in August.

A ‘making of’ mini-doc (see it after the jump) features N’fa discussing how he and Heath came to make the video (surprise -- it started with a 5 a.m. phone call) and takes us bumping along to a showing at the 2009 Rome Film Festival, where Heath’s memory was honored.

Ledger was found dead in a New York apartment in January 2008.

Says N’fa about working with Ledger: ‘The thing that was special about Heath is that he held every moment very highly in his hands -- and so, given a situation to be directed by him in the video, every moment’s still exciting, and every moment is impactful and really cool.’

The ‘King Rat’ video is after the break too. Toward the end of the ‘making of’ video, check out N’fa’s extensive thanks to friends, fans and family for their support of ‘the hero that Heath was.’
