Reinventing your game
I've got to give props to Electronic Arts for its EA Sports viral videos. Tiger Woods' "Jesus shot" was an entertaining way to reach out to fans online. It turns out that the French division of the company was rocking the viral video boat in January with the jaw-dropping "Réinvente ton jeu," meaning "Reinventing your game."
The video shows soccer kids performing wild feats, with an array of acrobatics to boot, as part of a promotion for the Fifa Street 3 game. The footy tricks performed on camera might not be 100% realistic, but who cares? These moves are too incredible to warrant criticism.
Wait, what am I talking about? This is the Internet we're talking about here. A bunch of commenters on the original video have already chimed in, calling the video "fake" -- and doing so in a number of different languages. Oh, well! You can't please everybody. [ Réinvente ton jeu ]
Correction: The post originally translated the video title as "Reinventing your Thursday." Thanks to those in the comments for correcting my mistake. (Stinkin' computer translator software!)

I Put In 5 Miles at the Office

TERRI KRIVOSHA, a partner at a Minneapolis law firm, logs three miles
each workday on a treadmill without leaving her desk. She finds it
easier to exercise while she types than to attend aerobics classes at the crack of dawn.
This sounds like a pretty great idea actually, I just wish it could be implemented everywhere. [Treadmill Office ]

Football vs. soccer fans
Sometimes a jersey isn't enough. Football and soccer fans alike will go to outrageous lengths to prove their allegiance to a particular squad, but who is the most out there?
Through a compilation of frightening photos and YouTube videos, depicting people beating the living snot out of each other, we get a matchup between football and "futbol" fans. Who wins? Well, we don't really know. Is it the Saints fan with the duct taped brick on his head? Or the soccer stud who felt it necessary to subject his child to the torture of root, root, rooting for the home team? [ Football vs. Futbol: Brawls and Fans ]

25 Must-See YouTube Sports Videos
Here is a fantastic list by Sports Illustrated of the 25 Must-See Youtube Sports Videos. I love that they included one of my favorite moments where Shaquille O'Neal sings a song to Vlade Divac and finishes it off with a predictable Erin Andrews tribute. While your visting SI's website, take a look at Luke Winn's in-depth feature on how YouTube has played a significant role in sports fans' lives. The video showcased above is the classic Michael Jordan Versus Larry Bird McDonalds commercial. [25 Must-See Youtube Sports Videos ]

Stop The Chairs before someone REALLY gets hurt.
Two wrestlers appeal to a crowd member for a chair to finish off their downed opponents. The result? Well, don't you assume the performer is talking to you when you're watching a show? So does everyone else. Awful. :(

100 Olympic Athletes To Watch

The summer Olympics are my favorite. As an ex-competitive swimmer, I sort of HAVE to love it. Anyway, Dara Torres makes my list of favorite Olympic Athletes. She's 41, It's her 5th Olympics and she's has a 2 year old and will straight up ruin a heap of 20 year old's days in the pool. Come on, you gotta love that. [ 100 Olympic Athletes To Watch ]

Buzzball
Buzzball from Evento on Vimeo.
The Buzzball delivers a thrill like no other interactive ride can. At
the heart of the Buzzball is a dual motor configuration, enabling the
pilot to control the motion and direction of travel via left and right
control triggers, which provides power to the driving wheels.
Once the Buzzball
is in motion the pod maintains an upright position until the pilot
turns, causing the pod to rotate inside the ball against the direction
of travel, which applies a braking force and the pod to lock with the
ball. This causes the pod to rotate with the ball until the weight of
the pilot and pod overcomes the inertia forces and causes the Buzzball
to change direction.
Want. Want. Want. WANT. What fun this would be for July 1st (if you're Canadian) or July 4th (for all Americans)...

Adam Bender plays baseball with only one leg
Adam Bender, 8, is one of several kids who play catcher in Southeastern's rookie league at Veterans Park. What makes Adam stand out is that he plays one of the toughest positions on the field with only one leg. Because of cancer, he had his left leg amputated when he was one. Adam doesn't use a prosthesis, and only uses crutches when he reaches base for the Astros. by Charles Bertram, Lexington Herald-Leader.
Adam Bender is truly inspiring and a pretty damn great little league catcher.
