The Making of a Venezuelan Street Vendor Burger

How does one eat something of this magnitude? I imagine slowly...with a lot of breaks in between to moan. With both hands.

I am pretty sure everyone needs a burger like that in their lives. The shredded cheese on top was like adding insult to injury, but in a good way. [ The Making of a Venezuelan Street Vendor Burger ]

Grocery Shrink Ray

Thirtyfourgroceryshrinkray

I am positive that my blueberry packages get smaller and more expensive every year. I think it's time to investigate! The Consumerist looks into 34 products (with pictures) on grocery store shelves that have downsized over the years. Well, except for the price. This is nothing new but maybe it's time we start to f*%&*$%^$ RAGE! [ Grocery Shrink Ray ]

Baconhenge

Baconhenge

Technically, a henge is actually an oval or circular earthwork, with a surrounding bank built up of the earth excavated from a ditch inside the bank. By this definition, Stonehenge is not truly a henge in any sense, as its ditch lies outside the bank.

I love bacon. So naturally, I would love such a fine construction oas Baconhenge. History can be delicious. Get the recipe and design your very own baconhenge...then you know, eat it. [ Baconhenge ]

1,500 Belgian Students "Experiment" w/ Diet Coke and Mentos

Almost two years ago the odd phenomenon of dropping Mentos into two-liter bottles of Diet Coke took the world by storm. Driveways and backyards across the country were filled with giddy teens dropping candy into soda and watching the lo-calorie sugar-water soar into the sky.

Europe seems to really love these group erruptions. Last year in Holland over 800 geysers were let loose and recently within Ladeuzeplein square in Leuven, Belgium 1,500 students brought Mentos, Diet Coke, rain ponchos, and almost doubled the previous recrod. But was there a catchy soundtrack to go along with it?

Until there is we will continue to give love to the original EepyBird.com video above, but if you want to see photos from the Belgian world record click here.

Christie St. Martin
Christie St. Martin was born in Bermuda and educated at two Canadian universities that would prefer not to be mentioned here until she supplies them with healthy building endowments. An uber-geek and proud of it, she established herself as an Internet presence with All Things Christie, a blog that managed, with its quirky and unabashedly self-indulgent links to and commentary on whatever struck her fancy or her ire, to attract small legions of readers, fans and would-be stalkers. Her interests were as they are: myriad and eclectic, though certainly given to a particular fondness for the tech-y, the game-y and the kitschy. She is her own organizing principle, a kind of mad surfer on the crests of cultural lunacy, alternately acerbic, ecstatic and unintentionally insightful. She has since blogged for VH1's "Best Week Ever" and Exhausticated.com, providing her usual melange of cheek, snark and occasional observation. Christie also contributes to LAT's Hero Complex blog.
