Funny Pages 2.0: The best Internet memes, videos, & web pages of the day

Rabbit

This is one of the coolest animations I have ever seen using children reading primers from the 50's and 60's. Deliciously creepy short animation by Run Wrake will surely teach you a lesson about the consequences of having idols. It's difficult to have a favorite moment in this animation but I am going to go with the kid diving onto the floor to catch the rabbit and failing. Animated pain is funny. The end. You can find more brilliant work from Run Wrake on his website.

Every Simpsons Couch Gag

Well, ALMOST every Simpsons couch gag. But you got to give the video creator some credit. The show is in it's 19th year and running. Hopefully it will be updated if and when show ever truly ends. RIGHT?

MUTO is a wall-painted animation that chews up everything in its path. Must have taken a while to complere and in the process covered a lot of people's hard graffiti work.  Kinda reminds me of 99rooms.

Science Machine

Science Machine from Chad Pugh on Vimeo.

My life has changed a lot since i started this, so I thought it appropriate to include my friends, family and loved ones since they all were on my mind throughout the creative process. Enjoy!

The video is a condensed time lapse of screenshots over a several month period of a brilliant Chad Pugh illustration from start to finish completely in HD.  Total physical drawing time is close to 40 hours. A screenshot was taken every 5 seconds, which actually results in a full 18 minute video.

L'animateur

This stop-motion animation of Adam and Eve is so beautiful, so entrancing, so subtle and highly skilled that I honestly don't think I will find anything on the net this year to top it. The Animator is created by Nick H. You can find more of his work featured on MyToons.

Christie St. Martin
Christie St. Martin was born in Bermuda and educated at two Canadian universities that would prefer not to be mentioned here until she supplies them with healthy building endowments. An uber-geek and proud of it, she established herself as an Internet presence with All Things Christie, a blog that managed, with its quirky and unabashedly self-indulgent links to and commentary on whatever struck her fancy or her ire, to attract small legions of readers, fans and would-be stalkers. Her interests were as they are: myriad and eclectic, though certainly given to a particular fondness for the tech-y, the game-y and the kitschy. She is her own organizing principle, a kind of mad surfer on the crests of cultural lunacy, alternately acerbic, ecstatic and unintentionally insightful. She has since blogged for VH1's "Best Week Ever" and Exhausticated.com, providing her usual melange of cheek, snark and occasional observation. Christie also contributes to LAT's Hero Complex blog.
