STOP. No really... STOP.

What you are looking at is not photoshoped. These were real signs in Oak Lawn, Illinois. In September
2007, Oak Lawn authorities began hanging these hilarious signs to all the city
stop signs in an hopes it would encourage drivers to obey the law. Apparently the Illinois state department of Transportation failed to find this plan amusing and believed the signs violated the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices so now Oak Lawn is being forced to remove all their clever signs.
At least they were up long enough for a few laughs. In all honesty, these signs would make me stop, exit my car and snap a few touristy pictures. That's legal right? [ Stop In the Name of Love ]
