This was the most painful 4 minutes and 11 seconds in Seth's life, and I guess now we have something in common with him. The video, titled "Seth's Bar Mitzvah," posted above is from a boy (who must be a grown man by now). It appears that his loving although talentless family felt it was a good time to test out their karaoke stylings. Then again, they probably didn't realize this would wind up on the Internet. I am so sorry for posting this, but if I had to suffer through it, at least a few of you brave souls should have to do the same.

ROFL @ old guy in front with glasses! What song is HE singing? Legendry piece of homo video archive.

Adam

You're mean. I started watching it before I read your commentary so I ended up watching too much of it... Just mean.

Christie

I APOLOGIZED IN ADVANCE! :)

An Anonymus Medical Ninja

Yes, the liquored up old dude with the dang flower hat makes this video quite comical. Poor Seth though, I'm sure he's prodded daily by his associates because of this recording.

Christie

I think the lesson we all learnt here today is, it's not easy being Jewish boy with an extended family of bad singers.

Also anyone notice the eyes on the lady in the pink dress? CRAZY EYES. I love it. She looks like the crazy sister in So I Married An Axe Murderer.

Andrew

Take comfort in the knowledge that sociologists from the year 5000 will learn a great deal about our pitiful civilization from this video.

Eva

The shifty-eyed pink dress lady is my favourite! At least she isn't singing.
Oh god, they are about 7/9 of a phrase behind the music now. I can't watch this anymore. *pauses*

Nathan

Geez, that's awful. Thanks for ruining my day.

Butchie

Is it wrong that I found this arousing?

Christie St. Martin was born in Bermuda and educated at two Canadian universities that would prefer not to be mentioned here until she supplies them with healthy building endowments. An uber-geek and proud of it, she established herself as an Internet presence with All Things Christie, a blog that managed, with its quirky and unabashedly self-indulgent links to and commentary on whatever struck her fancy or her ire, to attract small legions of readers, fans and would-be stalkers. Her interests were as they are: myriad and eclectic, though certainly given to a particular fondness for the tech-y, the game-y and the kitschy. She is her own organizing principle, a kind of mad surfer on the crests of cultural lunacy, alternately acerbic, ecstatic and unintentionally insightful. She has since blogged for VH1's "Best Week Ever" and Exhausticated.com, providing her usual melange of cheek, snark and occasional observation. Christie also contributes to LAT's Hero Complex blog.
