Failboat

Toot Toot
, all aboard the S.S. FAIL boat! Remember hearing about that transport ship that was carrying a load of Mazdas that didn't quite PLUNGE to it's death?  If not, I bet you have seen the images all over the internet at some point. The keel was completely out of the water and I suppose you can thank engineers for the ship not actually sinking due to watertight doors. Anyway, WIRED has written up an excellent report on the events that followed the Cougar Ace's total and complete FAIL. Learn the secret behind the internet legend known as Fail Boat. [ High Tech Cowboys of the Deep Seas ]

While on the topic of fail, check out Fail Why should cats get all the internet glory?

Arrrgh. I hated that story. Too macho. It felt like reading Maxim. Or one of those Kilgore Trout-type filler stories in porno mags.

Stick with Clive Thompson, the man's a genius! Go to his website and feel dumber faster than you ever thought possible.

Oh, wait, xkcd.

<3 xkcd!

...

Can't.. breathe... laughing...

too... much.. fail...dogs...

Some of those fail so hard they win.

Those dogs are all win in my book.

About the Blogger
Christie St. Martin
Christie St. Martin
Christie St. Martin was born in Bermuda and educated at two Canadian universities that would prefer not to be mentioned here until she supplies them with healthy building endowments. An uber-geek and proud of it, she established herself as an Internet presence with All Things Christie, a blog that managed, with its quirky and unabashedly self-indulgent links to and commentary on whatever struck her fancy or her ire, to attract small legions of readers, fans and would-be stalkers. Her interests were as they are: myriad and eclectic, though certainly given to a particular fondness for the tech-y, the game-y and the kitschy. She is her own organizing principle, a kind of mad surfer on the crests of cultural lunacy, alternately acerbic, ecstatic and unintentionally insightful. She has since blogged for VH1's "Best Week Ever" and Exhausticated.com, providing her usual melange of cheek, snark and occasional observation. Christie also contributes to LAT's Hero Complex blog.
