Winehouse closer to Grammys?
A resolution on the Amy Winehouse Grammy watch appears to be nearing.
The British soul singer met today with the U.S. Embassy as part of the process for obtaining a visa, a spokeswoman for the artist confirms, perhaps bringing her one step closer to appearing at the Feb. 10 awards ceremony, which will be broadcast live on CBS.
Yet the spokeswoman stressed that "no decision has yet been made" on Winehouse appearing at the Grammys, noting that the meeting with the embassy had been "scheduled some time ago." The singer is said to have visited the embassy under medical supervision.
Winehouse is up for six Grammys, including best new artist and album of the year for her "Back to Black."
As previously reported, Winehouse entered a drug rehabilitation facility in late January. A healthy Winehouse at the Grammys would give the telecast some youthful star power, and provide the much-hyped singer with a national stage that could propel her into superstardom.

Let's hope she makes it...it would be grand to see her perform!...
