Endemol names Just Spee as chief executive
As part of its ongoing restructuring efforts, production giant Endemol LV has promoted its chief financial officer Just Spee to chief executive officer.
Spee will in effect take over running the day-to-day operations from Marco Bassetti, Endemol's group president, who resigned Thursday after 15 years with the company.
Best known for its reality-show formats, including "Big Brother" and "Wipeout," Dutch-based Endemol has spent the last year restructuring its balance sheet and relationship with creditors.
Last year, the company rebuffed an unsolicited $1.4-billion takeover effort from Time Warner Inc.
