Film Works has officially debuted its "Let's Keep it Here" PSA aimed at reminding Angelenos of the importance of their hometown industry.

In the 90-second segment, actress and singer Tia Carrere ("Wayne's World," "Rising Sun" and "True Lies") strolls through a film set, talking about the role of craft service workers, prop makers and others employed on a typical production.

The spot, produced by FilmL.A. Inc. with the help of Shoot Movies in California, a group that has been fighting production flight from California, is part of a campaign called Film Works to promote the economic benefits of the film and TV industry. The public service announcement will appear on various websites and on LA Cityview, Channel 35. A version of the spot will also be shown at Mann Theatres this Fall.
