Charlie Sheen fired from 'Two and a Half Men'
Warner Bros. has fired Charlie Sheen from the hit CBS show "Two and a Half Men."
The move comes after several weeks of very public battling between the actor and CBS, Warner Bros. and "Two and a Half Men" co-creator Chuck Lorre.
In a statement, the studio said, “After careful consideration, Warner Bros. Television has terminated Charlie Sheen’s services on 'Two and a Half Men' effective immediately.”
Production on the show was stopped in late January after top executives from CBS and Warner Bros. confronted Sheen about his private life. Sheen has made no secret of embracing a sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll lifestyle. Messy divorces, accusations of violence toward women and trips to rehab have been staples of his life for over two decades.

None of his personal life seemed to have any impact on his career. He is the highest paid actor in television, with a salary that reaches $2 million per episode when his portion of rerun money is included. Although production was also shut down last year because of Sheen's personal issues, CBS and Warner Bros. never publicly came out against that star.
That all changed last month when Sheen suddenly became very critical of Lorre, Warner Bros. and CBS. He made fun of Lorre, and CBS and Warner Bros. announced they were suspending production of the show for the rest of the season.
Sheen then retained Hollywood lawyer Marty Singer, who threatened to sue Warner Bros. if Sheen was not paid for the rest of his contract, which runs through next season.
Warner Bros. and CBS did not say if they would try to keep the show alive without Sheen. The deal CBS has for the program runs through next season and costs about $4 million per episode.

Here's the thing about Charlie that I love...
He's completely shameless.
In a society that has become so hypersensitive (and manipulative) to shame, he doesn't care.
I mean, Charlie's off-screen antics have no real bearing on his television work. Why should he be hammered for it?
Our society has become so uptight and politically correct. It's just no fun.

Sheen is warped and should not be on TV. But why exactly was he fired?
It was succinctly and honestly presented in a New York Times article about 2 weeks ago. It discussed the quarter of a billion dollars that will be lost should the show not recover and without adornment or obfuscation said that the reason that Sheen's show was (at that time) put on hold by CBS is that Sheen referred to his boss by his Hebrew name. That it was seen as an anti-Semitic jab, and was condemned as such by the ADL.
Sheen has done just about every crazy and dangerous thing a top TV star could do including brutalizing and terrorizing the women in his life. He's somehow managed to get two of his Mercedes sedans (in one year) to drive themselves off a cliff near his gated community and has escaped any blame from the law from those extremely dangerous incidents and moreover CBS hasn't touched him (except with mad money) for any of the many destructive episodes he's been involved with over the years.
Until he called his showrunner Haim Levine. Now he's gone from television. That alone was the unforgivable sin on his behalf and it's why neither HBO nor any other network is going to sweep in to snatch up this sick warped abusive and dangerous TV star and put him back on the air. Quarter of a billion dollars? Forget it. It doesn't matter.
This guy touched, and I mean he only touched, one of many third rails in the entertainment industry. The Jewish Thing.
Sheen need not apply or hope to resurrect his acting career on another network anywhere. Like Rich Sanchez, you can be a bonehead on television and get rich doing it. But if you dare to show your teeth to the Jews who control the medium that you make your fortune from, you're simply done.
And I'll be very surprised if my comments make it into the record here. Such is the depleted nature of free speech in America.

Maybe he can get his dad to talk to Warner Brothers. He must have gotten him to job in the first place.

Can't they just rename the show "One and a Half Men" and go on without him?

Critics of Charlie Sheen are the female co-worker in the
Subway ad in which male co-worker didn't see the grab
coming. Best of luck to Charlie Sheen. Prime time won't
be the same without you.

Warner Brothers are well within their rights to dump Charlie Sheen, would anybody out there want to have their reputation/business future riding on him? He has been incredibly lucky and fell into a money pot, he has neither the talent nor the class of his father, and now he lives a sad pathetic life having to pay for his companionship (gee 24 year old porn stars are willing to have him support them -must be true love) and spewing ridiculous garbage that only reinforces Warner Brothers position. Also his vocabulary makes him look even sadder, who says gnarly and dude, what decade is this. He's a sad, pathetic middle aged man, who should hang on to every dime he has, his only hope of a future on camera is reality tv as people watch him implode. His character may be tough to replace NOT him!.

Hopefully the show will be canceled altogether...it was never funny. Why he was the highest paid tv actor is beyond comprehension! Like no other actor couldn't play that part and do a better job without all the offscreen turmoil.

Thank God Charlie is gone. A couple more weeks, and all of "his publicity efforts" will disappear. What were the numbers for his big weekend viewing? He has 2 million followers right - and a little more than 100,000 showed up - and hated it! Without somebody writing for him, the man is ridiculous. All he has is his hangers on leeching off him until they suck the money off him. In a couple of years his accountant will inform him he's behind in taxes and that will be all the next big story Sheen being sent to prison for taxes.

Good move--this guy needs to crawl back under the rug he crawled out from under with his sorry life existence.
By the way instead of doing a blood test--do a hair follicle test. Then you will know what the fool uses.

Finally! The demise of a show that's not only crude and patently unfunny-- but starring an over paid non-talent named Sheen who is far scarier than the Riddler, or man currently occupying the White House... Perhaps, the two of them can partner up for a Halloween Special on Pay-Per-View...?? Ole'!!

Let's objectively assess what Charlie Sheen calls "victory": He has lost all of his children. He has destroyed three marriages, replacing his wives with live-in skanks and who knows how many hookers. He has been arrested for assaulting women twice, and repeatedly threatened them. He has been in and out of drug rehabs numerous times. He has embarrassed, shamed and disrespected his entire family, who still offer him their unconditional love. He has been fired from one of the most popular shows on television. Sheen, who claims that he is a "rock star from Mars" who has "tiger blood" and "Adonis DNA" has managed to prove only one thing: that he never felt worthy of his own success. So now, clearly out of his mind, chain smoking and drinking from a child's sippy-cup, he neurotically claims victory in the ashes of what used to be a successful career. Nobody should take any real pleasure in witnessing this personal catastrophe unfold, but neither should we care. At the end of the day, Sheen has been a borderline talent who was lucky enough to get roles that other actors would have excelled in. In "Two and a Half Men", he played himself reading clever lines written by other people. Only a person suffering from extreme self-loathing would behave so self-destructively.

He deserves the firing. Dear God!

Who cares? He's a two bit actor who thinks he's actually imp0rtant. Now he can go be a nobody for real and no one will really care. These Hollywood people who think they are so special....gag.

It was a dumb show anyway.

WELL THAT IS JUST TOO BAD, HE IS LOSING ALMOST EVERYTHING HIS JOB AND HIS CHILDREN , IT REALLY SAD WHEN CHARLIE WANTA RISE 3 MILLIONS $$$$ , HE SHOULD BE THANKFUL WHAT HE HAS , MILLIONS PEOPLE ONLY MAKE 10 DOLLARS AND TRY TO MEET THE BILLS TO PAY OFF , I HOPE CHARLIE IS LEARNING TH E HARD WAY BUT HE STILL GOT PLENTY MONEY IN THE BANK UNLESS IRS WANT HIS 2 MILLIONS , HE IS AN ACTOR FOR HIS LIFE TIME , BUT HE NEED TO STOP ACT LIKE A BLOODY FOOLISH MAN , TOUGH CHARLIES BOY ,

Sheen alone is responsible for his firing by virtue of his behavior; Warner Bros. and CBS had little option but to let him go. His lack of respect and arrogance, coupled with his self-destructive lifestyle has come back to 'bite' him.
Sheen is an extremely unhappy and miserable person who has obviously never found a sense of peace; hopefully his firing will prompt him to get the help he needs and stop destroying himself and those around him.

Although he is gone from Two and a Half Men, we will still be able to see Charlie in his future projects. He has reportedly agreed to perform The Scottish Play and Waiting for Godot for free in a series of public park presentations on Mars. Losing !!!

Warner Bros. should keep the show going .
Each of the other cast members have their parts down pat .
How about if Herb moves in with Alan & Jake, after he and Judith divorce.
It would give Berta and Alan's mom some ammo toward Judith ;
Judith toward Herb, Alan, Berta and her ex mother-in-law,
all the while Rose is "popping up".
The writers could have a field day with new material !

Charlie Sheen / Lindsay Lohan - what's the difference. They are both spoiled brats who have gotten away with much more than ANYONE has a right to. I love the show, but he's not acting - he's just playing himself. I do that on a daily basis and don't get paid for it!

great...
Charlie... You got time for the ho's and dope now...

I also think John Stamos would be a good replacement, but I never watch the show. I hate sitcoms. What a total loser this guy is. He thinks its the 60,s all over again, except the love, which is only for himself
Posted by: teri | March 07, 2011 at 04:05 PM
TV will be far better with out that show!

The producers can hire me for 10% of what Charlie was paid. I'm sauve, dapper & debonair, where Charlie isn't.
