Time Warner won't replace departing exec Fili-Krushel

Time Warner Inc. lost a senior executive to NBC Universal as Pat Fili-Krushel will become the Peacock's executive vice president once Comcast's purchase of the entertainment giant closes either late this year or early next year.

Fili-Krushel Fili-Krushel, who was Time Warner's executive vice president of administration, will get a lot more turf at NBC Universal than she had in her old job. Besides human resources, she will also oversee legal as well as business strategy. Some of this is a return to familiar stomping grounds for Fili-Krushel, who before joining Time Warner in 2001 had been a president at ABC. She was at Walt Disney Co.'s ABC at the same time Comcast chief operating officer and soon-to-be NBC Universal chief executive Steve Burke was at the company.

Although Fili-Krushel was pretty high up on the food chain at Time Warner, there are no plans to replace her, a person within the company said. In an internal memo, Time Warner chief executive Jeff Bewkes said the company is "well-positioned and [has] the executive talent and bench strength to maintain momentum." Her duties will likely be divided up among various executives and her title will be eliminated.

Fili-Krushel, who added a lot of staff to her unit in her stint at Time Warner,  was hired by Bewkes predecessor Dick Parsons.
