Disney Theatrical Group pulls out of Glendale

The Disney Theatrical Group, which oversees Broadway productions and other live shows, will close its Glendale office at the end of the month.

The theatrical group is centralizing operations in New York City, where its executives are based. As a result of the consolidation, 11 people will lose their jobs, a spokesman said.

The Glendale office has been responsible for Disney Ice productions and Disney Live, which puts on family stage shows. Those operations will be run out of New York.

A theatrical group spokesman said move was part of a corporate belt-tightening.
