'Twilight' Countdown: Robert Pattinson and his vampire pals

20 days left...

As promised, here is the early edition of the paper's Sunday story on "Twilight." Times writer Gina McIntyre spent a sunny afternoon -- read: scorching hot at 100 degrees F -- with the actors who play three Cullen sibs: Robert Pattinson (Edward), Kellan Lutz (Emmett) and Nikki Reed (Rosalie).

She learned about Robert's "embarrassing" on-set injury...

For the movie's action sequences, the actors experimented with stunts and wire work, which Pattinson admits did not play to his strengths. "I got injured on the first shot of the first day," he said. "I wasn't even doing a stunt. I was just trying to pick up Kristen and I almost tore my hamstring because I hadn't been doing enough squats. It was very embarrassing."

...and what the boys did to wind down...

"When we did have those hard days," added Lutz, 23, "we would go back to Rob's room. He had a couple of guitars in there and a lot of great music. It was really fun being able to relax and have the cast come together, having that time just to bond and not really be actors but friends."

And I have more good news! I just confirmed that I will be talking to RPattz himself Election Day  Tuesday. I'd like to devote that Q&A strictly to the best questions I get from you guys, the fans. I won't be able to ask every single one submitted, but rest assured I'll select a most representative bunch. Once again, fire away!

Also, don't forget to check back in tomorrow to find out who won last Saturday's Caption This contest, and to participate in the next.

Quick and to the point: Are you single? What is your relationship status? Just curious =)

A lot of these questions have been asked in previous interviews and i know the answers by heart. haha.
but one thing i want to know is:

How do you manage to stay so calm in the midst of all this chaos and crazy-ness that is twilight? you are a major person in this and i LOVE that you are so humble. how do you manage that self control? do you think it will go to your head? judging by your character, i doubt it, but do you fear that it might?

i absolutely love all that you do
and who you are.
congrats on everything
you're gonna do great.

Merci pour l'occasion à demander une question

"I'm curious, why 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest'? It's one of my favourite's as well, and maybe I'm being naive in assuming that everyone has a reason for liking a movie, but if you have a reason, and it's not too personal, I'd like to hear it."

Oh, and have you heard of Margot and the Nuclear So and So's? I adore their new album."

I was wondering, did you have a tough time adjusting to driving on the wrong side of the road and car over here in the states, or find yourself looking the wrong direction while crossing the street when you first got here? I ask because I recently visited London and I found my family members having some trouble with this (i.e. my mom almost walked in front of a moving bus.) Thank you so much!

A great group of gals called the TwilightMoms are trying to get you an invitation to host Saturday Night Live. If you were invited is this something you'd like to do? A lot of people are wondering if you'd even want the opportunity? Let us know!!

1. What was the hardest quality of Edward's to portray?

2. Rob doesn't seem to like being in the limelight. What does he dislike most or maybe frightens him the most about his growing fame.

3. Does he plan to act AND write music?

As you now know, 'Twilight' has been and is becoming a favorite book for many people. What is the one novel you can read and get lost into? What's your favorite book?

I think Robert is a great actor. I love his work so far and can't wait to see what he come up with next.

1) Favorite memory in the US
2) Favorite past time
3) Can you recommend a good hang-out spot in London?

My question for Rob:
What do you find attractive in a girl? And all of your fans, including me, seem to think that you are perfect but we all know that that isn't true because you are human afterall. I was just wondering about some flaws that you might have. What do you dislike about yourself? It doesn't have to be something physically...it could also be related to your personality and you as a person.

Hopefully you'll have time for completely random questions.

- what's your favourite Chuck Norris fact/joke?

- how many Chuck Norrises do you think it would take to knock out a vampire?

- if you had to choose one of these activities to do non-stop for the rest of your life, what would you rather out of:

Question for Rob:

You're a British actor playing a character with an American accent. In your opinion, what American actor does a British accent well? Or are there any American actors you can think of that probably shouldn't attempt a British accent? ;)

Thanks for posting this article and allowing us to submit our questions!!

I have been immensely impressed with Rob's handling of the spotlight. Everything I have seen he is always witty, compasionate and polite to his fans and interviewers. His parents did a great job. I wish my 10 year old son would emulate this attitude. Do I have to move to London for him to have this same perspective? Considering I have read he had difficulty in school, how has he overcome that hurdle to his current level of success? But enough about his brain, does he like older women?

Whats he like under pressure?

Kristen said Rob found it impossible to lie. In that case have there been any instances where he wishes he hadnt been so truthful. Any examples he can share. Is his family the sort who are all brutally honest with one another.

Are there any foods that evocatively reminding him of his childhood?

If he had a selfish wish what would it be

People who have worked with Rob have said he is a deep thinker and mull's issues over a lot. Does he agree. He puts across a more devil may care approach so I wondered who the real Rob was. Perhaps in your interview you can get to the bottom of who he really is.

I think he's fantastic. A breath of fresh air in the industry.

My question for Rob is:
So far your roles have been pretty eclectic; what's a role/film/project you would love to do next?

What part of being a celebrity do you hate?

Were you happier before the Twilight mania?

Have you changed anything about your lifestyle since Twilight?

Do you ever check out any of your websites? And do you ever visit your IMDB page?

Do you watch any of the 1000's of videos dedicated to you on Youtube?

My question for Rob would be that we know that Edward and the Cullens love cars. What is his favorite car and if he could buy any boy toy in the world what would it be?

What's a typical night in the life of Robert Pattinson?

Has your love life been affected since Twilight?

Where are you the most happy?

Are you aware of the big fuzz your hair has caused in the fandom?

What rumor can you crush right now?

What surprised you the most about your new celebrity status?

What's the creepiest thing a fan has done to get your attention?

Is there something about yourself that your people wanted you to change but you refused?

Question for Rob:

From the places you've filmed in and visited, which has been your favorite?
