'Twilight' video: Jacob and Edward fans sound off

At Friday's midnight release party for "Breaking Dawn," I took the opportunity to ask "Twilight" fans whom they preferred for Bella: Jacob or Edward? Here are the spokesgirls for each side:

Did they do a good job? Where do you stand?

Edward is right for her becuase he will do wat evr it takes to make her happpy evn if it means shes with jacob and not him. Jacob keeps fighting for her and hurting her i was releived when he imprinted on renesmee but also sort of angry that it seemed like hed was taking renesmee away form her too in the beginning jacob aggravates me sometijmes i hated him in eclipse but now hes not all that bad

The girls are right about Edward he just wants her happy no matter what. Jacob on the other hand just wants her. He can't accept that she is happy with a "bloodsucker" and not him. He is being very selfish. Bella may love Jacob but she's in love with Edward. She cares for Jacob and doesn't want anything bad to happen to him but the love she has with Edward is real, indescribable and nothing she's ever felt before she can not live without him and he can't live without her.

I personally LOVE Edward but if Bella (before she got married and turned to a vampire) would have chosen Jacob, whom she loves also, she would have had a somewhat simpler life. Bella doesn't seem to care too much about her 'magnet for danger' issue so much, so Edward (the one she loves the most) is the perfect choice in my opinion. Edward and Jacob both love her but Jacob tends to be a bit more selfish, I think.

The love was there from the moment Bella step into Forks. Edward felt something different in Bella that he had never felt with anyone in all his years. Bella was and is a different teenager...that made Edward excited. Bella found someone that she new she could love and be happy...remember she left her happiness for her mothers happiness...even that, she was attracted so him, the heat and passion was there. When she saw Jacob, he was two years younger..and was a big sister to him. When Edward left, fearing that she should forget him, like he tried with her, to protect her....Jacob saw this as a light to get with her...to be there as a friend, but under all that friendship..he wanted her. Bella could not break off this love....not a crush..or a lust..but a deep love...If anyone loved a person like Bella loved Edward, and he left..you are broken...I felt what she went through...she died.. Jacob was the rebound guy..she states it herself, she needed jacob to lift her through this hard time...but the kiss, between Jacob and Bella was still love..but more or less the idea of what she COULD have..but did not want. She wants FOREVER..Jacob and Bella i would think die at one point,,,.but Bella and Edward would have this love beyond forever..(SIGH)....my thoughts only!!!!

Yeah I think it all comes down to loving someone and being IN LOVE with someone. Of course you are going to feel something for someone when they've been your support and practically lifeline during the tough times. But there is just that one person you feel something different and bigger and automatic towards and Jacobs not that one. Ands besides Edwards is better for her.

Jacob is sorely misinterpreted here. I'm for Team Jacob all the way- there is something to be said for someone who is "your own personal sun". Edward and Bella are in love, but it seems less emotional to me- you never really understand why they are in love, you never see anything to make that happen. Having an incredibly powerful attraction to someones blood and calling it love seems the same to me as falling in love with someone because you like their cologne... Jacob, on the other hand, knows Bella even better than Edward does sometimes, and it's a love that you can understand. There is a difference between infatuation and being in love, and I think Edward falls into the first category and Jacob into the second. Jacob isn't selfish, necessarily, he is in love with Bella and knows that she is in love with him, even before she does- he knows that he would make her happy and that they could have something truly incredible. That, to me, is more powerful and lasting than so-called love at first conversation.

Jacob is not right for Bella at all. He is extremely selfish and almost ruins Bella's wedding. Thank God Edward stepped in and told Jacob to leave before he crashed the wedding party. Jacob is constantly causing Bella heartbreak after heartbreak. He needs to get over the fact the Bella and Edward have found a love that is unbreakable. THey have this deep connection adn would sacrifice themselves for eachother. When they are together, you can feel the magic and true-love that is coming off of them. I will always be a Team Edward fan for the fact that Bella and Edward had fallen for eachother since Twilight. Meyer only threw in Jacob to try and cause conflict. She wanted Jacob to test Edward and Bella's relationship which obviously failed. Bella and Edward's love is unconditional and unbreakable. They will always be with eachother for all eternity. This the happy ending we were all hoping for. Team Jacob fans should be happy that he imprinted on Renesmee and will be part of Bella's family. I think Meyer was too nice to Team Jacob people. All and all, Edward and Bella belong to eachother forever and ever.

TEAM EDWARD! He's her soul mate! That's what it comes down to. I love Edward and so does Bella and that's what matters! Jacob ONLY had feelings for Bella because of the little part of Renesmee she held. So there shouldn't even be a team Jacob. I don't even understand it.

i am soooooooooooooo team EDWARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh, and the whole phisical attraction overpowering thier mental love thing, thats so wrong, considering the fact that jacob is hot too, and the fact that edward loves bella even though she really isnt that hot. so there.
and team jacob was formed before breaking dawn came out, so it does make sense.
