>> Seattle's going to stop buying bottled water, according to Mayor Greg Nickels. "The city could save as much as $58,000 a year, officials said, by not purchasing bottled water for events or water-cooler jugs for its workers." The city of L.A. stopped buying bottled water back in 2005.

>> CamelBak now has a BPA-free and phthalate-free water bottle, the “Better Bottle with Classic Cap," and plans to make its entire line of water bottles BPA-free by summer 2008.
