A.M. Greenlist: Teal marks the solar panels
>> Cooler planet made an interactive heat map that shows all the solar installations in California since 2002. We're pretty teal! (via Treehugger)
>> Another L.A. girl de-cars, wants tips for getting around town. Julia Frey at blogging.la's considering a motorboard, among other options. Earlier: How the Motorboard has made me (a little, kinda-sorta) cool.
>> Want a rail line that goes to LAX? Get your two cents in at the public meetings for the Crenshaw-Prairie Transit Corridor Study. (via LAist)
>> Another reminder to get to the remaining L.A. Bicycle Master Plan meetings -- or to take the survey, if you can't make it.
>> GM hits the kids when they're young with its Chevy Rocks the Future event, showcasing its "green" cars in a celebrity-studded event for high school kids at Disney Studios in Burbank. Earlier: Chevy: The new fuel-savings leader?
>> Environmental justice groups launched a campaign against carbon emissions cap-and-trade programs, over concerns that such programs would impact negatively the communities that are already disadvantaged. The Sierra Club, contrary to the L.A. Times report, did release a statement: "We share many of the concerns of the EJ groups regarding pollution trading, like possible hot spots, loopholes and windfall profits."
>> The Carbon footprint of a cheeseburger on video. Watch Jamais Cascio talk about his calculations in this clip from Six Degrees Could Change the World. Oh, and the guy eating the cheeseburger isn't Jamais -- he's a body double. Earlier: Mostly-eaten beef recalled.
