>> Wired has a preview of The Discovery Channel's Earth Live, "new visualization tool for understanding the dynamics of global climate change" that "allows users to see nearly real-time satellite data of the globe's cloud cover, water vapor, and sea surface temperatures." Earth Live will go live on Monday.
>> A Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747-400 will fly on biofuel later this month. More accurately, the jet will use a blend of 80 percent conventional jet fuel and 20 percent biofuel. The airline says this biofuel is a type that doesn't compete with food and freshwater resources. (via Freakonomics)
>> Due to enviro-concerns, Staples cut off contracts with paper company Asia Pulp & Paper. Staples belatedly joins Office Depot in dumping AP&P over concerns that it feeds rainforests into its pulp mill.
