>> A low-calorie sweetener might cause weight gain. Researchers found that "rats on diets containing saccharin gained more weight than rats given sugary food." Stick to the natural stuff (in moderation).
>> Trader Joe's says no to some Chinese food imports. All single-ingredient food imports from China will be phased out by April 1 due to concerns over the quality of the products. Many of these products -- garlic, spinach, etc. -- are items we can easily get at the local farmers market. (via The Daily Green)
