Oakland girl to hoard her 2008 plastic trash

Plastic Not to be outdone by the trash-collecting boys, Beth of Fake Plastic Fish -- whose deplasticking adventures I've written about here -- is going to try to cut back further on her plastic consumption and save all the plastic she goes through this year.

Will she beat Envirowoman's 1 pound, 3-ounce total for 2007? We'll find out in January 2009. Good luck, Beth!

Girls: Let me know about your eco-project for 2008. I've heard from some of you, but want to hear from more. :)

Okay, I guess this means I'm getting serious about the number crunching! And serious about cutting down on a lot of dairy. Most of my new plastic comes from cheese wrappers and plastic caps from milk bottles. Maybe I'll lose more than plastic weight this way!
