Greenlist: Odd eco-advice
>> Offset your cheating heart. Some UK peeps have created CheatNeutral, a spoof of carbon offseting companies like DriveNetral. For just £2.50, you can offset your cheating ways. Faithful types can sign up to be an "offseting project" and "get paid for not getting laid." (via Green as a Thistle)
>> Buy and sell used diapers. The idea seems a bit gross to me, but then diapers in general seem kinda gross to me. Parents -- Would you buy used diapers? (via Green Daily)
>> And some unrelated good news: Cancer risk from toxic air drops by 17% in Southland. We still have a long way to go, however, with diesel exhaust pollution being one of the biggest problems.

parenthood gets you past your gross-out barriers pretty quickly. we've been passing around hand-me-down diapers in my family every since we started having kidlets. wash 'em in hot water with detergent & vinegar, hang them out to be sun-bleached, and they're good as new. or you could always use flushable paper liners if you are just too disgusted by feces.
i won't buy used menstrual rags, though. ha-ha! grossed you out!
