Delegate your green cleaning work, part 2

I thought two green cleaning services in the L.A. area was a lot -- but apparently, we have four! Here's a guide to a couple more ways you can delegate your green cleaning needs -- as well as get a little help getting eco-organized!

Coolearth CoolEarth Cleaning. Jessica of Low Impact Living personally recommends this green cleaning service, which offers carpet cleaning services in addition to general commercial and residential green cleaning.

  • Areas served: Greater Los Angeles area and Orange county
  • Favored products: Simple Green, Orange Citrus cleaner.
  • Cost: $30 per hour (per cleaner) with a 2 hour minimum. For a 1,000 square foot, two-bedroom house, the cost runs between $60 - $90. Carpet cleaning costs 25 cents per square foot.

Maid_2 Maid Brigade. This nationwide network of green cleaning services has created an entire green clean educational site called Green Clean Certified.

  • Areas served: Los Angeles (east side only), Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena, South Orange County, Ventura County.
  • Favored products: Maintex
  • Cost: About $43 per hour (per cleaner). For a 1,000 square foot, two-bedroom house, the cost ranges from $100 - $125.
  • Contact: Find the local number via the listings for California offices.

Dear Siel, thank you so much for your work! I just found your blog while researching LA area green cleaning companies. I'm curious. You mentioned in part II of the series that you found 4 companies that provide green cleaning. Besides the 2 featured (Cool Earth & Maid Brigade), did you mention the name of the other 2 companies? Please re-print if so.
