Party all weekend: GOOD and EcoNouveau
Clearly, I picked a bad time to go out of town. First of all, people're keeling over and dying of heat in Chicago, where I'm traveling to. And secondly, all sorts of fun stuff's going down in L.A. this weekend -- including two very cool parties.
On Friday, there's the GOOD Anniversary Party. This forward-thinking mag's throwing its party at the Natural History Museum on Friday, Oct. 12, starting at 9 p.m. The event is free for subscribers -- all you have to do is subscribe for $20 -- all of which goes to a charity of your choice -- to get six issues of GOOD. RSVP and get your subscription now. 21+ only -- sorry kiddies.
On Saturday, there's EcoNouveau, a fashion, music and art show that'll feature the Spring/Summer ’08 collection of the most innovative eco-fashion designers in a nontraditional runway show. Deborah Lindquist, Bahar Shahpar and Amanda Shi of the Avita Co-op will all be there -- and while VIP tickets go for $200, $10 can get you into the Dublab afterparty featuring Daedelus, Frosty and DJ Nobody. Buy your tickets here.
And let me know about the fun you had when I get back from the Windy City. A more complete green weekend events list will go up tomorrow.
