Click yourself free of pesky catalogues
You're prolly just starting to get your Halloween costume together, but xmas catalogs're about to hit your mailbox any day now. Sick of all the Victoria's Secret and J.Crew madness? Don't have the time to call all of them individually to opt out?
You're in luck, cuz Catalog Choice just launched yesterday. All you gotta do is register, then click on all the catalogs that're bugging you. In 6 weeks, they'll be bugging you no more cuz Catalog Choice'll have told them to quit that. And if a baddie company's still stuffing your mailbox, you can report the infraction for Catalog Choice to take care of.
I've been de-junk-mailing for a while, so catalogs aren't a big problem; I get more mail from Amnesty International asking for money than from any clothing company. I do, however, keep getting them from Garden Botanika -- a purportedly green company that sells products chock-full of parabens -- despite the fact that I've called TWICE requesting them to bug me no more.
Unfortunately, they weren't in Catalog Choice's list yet, but a quick popup box let me request Catalog choice to add them to their list. Hopefully I'll be freed of their pseudo-green catalogs soon --
Register now, and get back to me at the end of Nov. to report how your mailbox is faring --

Hey Siel - Do you know if this covers flyers/magazines from local grocery stores? I receive a copy of Pennysaver in the mail every week and I think it's such a waste of resources.

I tried to register with the site.
this is what came up on my computer:

Seems like a good resource. Just can't get it to work. Also, who owns the website??

Such odd problems I didn't anticipate! I didn't have a security message pop up.... Anyone else have this issue?
Holly -- I've just asked Catalog Choice if they cover supermarket flyers, and am waiting for an answer. In the meantime, to get off of Pennysaver: Call (800) 422-4116. They have odd service hours, but you can leave a message with your address info for removal. It works -- I've done it.

Catalogchoice has a great service. I actually decided to us another site called CatalogEnd.com that cancels unwanted catalogs, junk mail and phone directories for on $15.95. This was the best price I found for getting everything unwanted eliminated from my mailbox.
