From KWTX.com:

News 10 sports has learned that former Baylor pitcher/outfielder Aaron Miller has agreed to terms with the Los Angeles Dodgers on Thursday evening.

The Dodgers selected Miller 36th overall in the 2009 Major League Baseball draft and paid him a signing bonus of $889,200.

He will begin his professional career with the Class A Great Lakes Loons of the Midwest League. ...

I said this morning, in a comment at TrueBlue LA, that I can't see the Dodgers being willing to trade away Scott Elbert. I certainly hope I am right about that, but I am presupposing a degree of rationality on Colletti's part that I maybe wrong to accord him.

We've seen some good pitching in ABQ. Did the atmosphere change? It doesn't seem to be the launching pad it was in the Brock/Marshall days.

Well, if Elbert keeps up with the interesting game, his trade status is going to sky rocket.

Bloop single ends it.

And so it goes.

Matt Kemp's line looks pretty bad (0-6 with four strikeouts) but he came within a foot of hitting a 3-run homer and we wouldn't be talking about a bad game. Baseball is truly a game of inches (okay, maybe feet :-) ).

Elbert retired 15 in a row before the bloop single ends it.

Ugh and Mills goes to the Blazers.

New post up top.

Great pick up for the Dodgers! He will be a fun one to watch come up through the ranks.
