Reliever Blake Hawksworth’s elbow operation Wednesday went as planned, the Dodgers announced.

Hawksworth underwent a minor procedure in Los Angeles to remove scar tissue and shave down a bone spur in his throwing elbow. He will start rehabilitation Monday and is expected to be sidelined for four to six weeks. The club expects him to pitch in spring training and compete for a spot on the opening-day roster.
