He faked left and went right, did the Jell-O jiggle, juked his opponent dizzy, pulled out a complete 180 and then … was tackled for a 4-yard loss.

It’s not having a multitude of moves that matter, it’s knowing when to use them and when to move forward.

Desperate Frank McCourt and his army of attorneys have been throwing everything possible against the wall, the rest of us simply watching to see if anything can possibly stick.

But they keep sliding off, and now one of his ugliest potential moves could be a non-starter.

Bankruptcy.

The Times’ Bill Shaikin has reported that Fox would not stand by McCourt if he were to declare bankruptcy and ask a judge to approve his TV deal with Fox.

No TV deal, no income, no ability to make payroll. Leaving the judge to appoint a trustee to replace McCourt, which kinda defeats the purpose of declaring bankruptcy to ward off a takeover.

Curious that Fox would take a step back, considering the TV deal was viewed by most as good for Fox.
-- CBS Sports’ Scott Miller writes that the June 30 payroll figures to be it for McCourt, and sees vultures circling.
