Fire department investigating two Dodger Stadium fires

Dodger-stadium-fire_600

The Los Angeles Fire Department is investigating what caused two separate fires that broke out in a three-day span in the same storage room at Dodger Stadium.

The eighth-floor cinder-block room, which measures approximately 20 feet by 20 feet, caught fire again Monday morning around 5 a.m., according to LAFD spokesman Erik Scott. The blaze was extinguished within minutes.

Scott described the fire as a “small rekindling” of a paper-products blaze in the same room on Saturday night. The earlier fire, which took place while the Dodgers were facing the Florida Marlins, took 20 minutes to put out.

At this point, it would be far from shocking to learn that McCourt was trying to figure out how to burn down Dodger Stadium in an attempt to get insurance money.

Someone seems to be taking the old phrase "light a fire under the team" a bit too literally.

Hmmm, I wonder if the sign on the door to this room says, Confidential Financial Records: DO NOT ENTER!

There really should not be any more games at Dodger Stadium until the problem is fixed - for the safety of the fans and the players!

So how do "paper products" rekindled themselves? We are missing something here.

I love Dodgers Stadium. The stadium isn't located downtow and is very accessable by traveling 100 different roads. When I visited Los Angeles last year, I traveled down Sunset Boulevard to get to Dodgers Stadium for the games that I attended. Prior to the games, I would visit Echo Park and talk to some of the local residents. Los Angeles is a very clean city; not like other cities such as Philadelphia or New York where you could get mugged. I have never had any problems feeling threatened in Dodgers Stadium or Los Angeles. And I hope if the Dodgers are sold that the stadium remains where it is. It is an older stadium but an icon to the City of Los Angeles.

Hey E. W. What fans are you talking about?

Sounds like a case of spontaneous combustion. Frank ought to try it.
.
Make sure Ned's with you.

The LA City Fire Department blew it.

First Baseman,

Interesting analysis.

However, I haven't heard of any fans in Philadelphia or New York being beaten to within in inch of death.

Where was the McCourt virus when the fire broke out?

waus

I was at a Washington at Philadelphia football game and fans were throwing and dumping beer on us and little kids were giving us the finger and saying the f word to us. I just happened to be there watching the Redskins play and wasn't wearing any Redskins clothing. I don't even like the Redskins. in another instance the New York fans were doing the same thing to us when I went to watch a Red Sox game. I happened to be wearing a LA hat and not a Red Sox hat and fans were telling me to go back to Boston. The New York fans are so ignorant that they don't know where LA is located. And in yet another instance, I traveled to Philadelphia to watch the Canadiens play the Flyers and fans were threatening us and one pulled a switch blade knife on us. As far as the fan beating in the parking lot at Dodgers Stadium, that could have happened in any other city. I don't believe the Dodgers fans would throw things at the Giants fans. But if Dodgers fans threw popcorn at the Ginats fans, it is nothing to get upset at. I have had beer dumped on me at hockey games and in one instance a security guard saw the fan dumped the beer and called the police. The fan for the home team was thrown out of the game and not me. Dodgers Stadium is has a relaxing atmosphere to it and most fans don't show up until the 3rd inning.

first baseman your exactly right.

I know I am right Jessee

The beating of the Giants fans was wrong, but the media blew it out of proportion because the Giants won the World Series. What about the stabbing that occur at Yankee Stadium this year when Boston played New York. Did the media talk that event up. No, because both the Yankees and Red Sox sucked last year. If the truth had to be known about the Dodgers Stadium beating, the 2 hispanics probably said something to Brian Stowe and he responded back with a smart comment that he shouldn't had said. I have been to 1,000 games at Dodgers Stadium and I honestly can tell you that the Dodgers fans don't just hit someone because he or she is wearing a Giants shirt. Dodgers fans might boo Giants fans or say they suck.

One other comment. I am not trying to defend the 2 hispanics who was instrumental in the beating and hope Brian has a full recovery. But how do we know that something was said during the game that might ignited the beating. This event reminded me of the Rodney King beating a few years. Anytime that something of this magnitude occurs with the City of Los Angeles, blame is always made towards LAPD, or in this case, the Dodgers owner.

We all guessed it was Frank burning pictures of the ex, or torching all his attorney bills

I like first basemans posts, and you know what? He is right.
