Andre Ethier snapped his 0-for-22 hitting streak Friday with a third-inning single, but there remains concern. Anyway, there should be.

Entering Saturday’s game, Ethier has exactly one extra-base hit in his last 71 at-bats. That’s it, the Dodgers’ No.3 hitter is currently a singles hitter.

That is when he is hitting. He’s still in a 1-for-25 skid, lowing his average to .317.

But in his last 19 games, his only extra-base hit was a home run in New York on May 8 against the Mets.

Which begs the question: Did keeping alive that 30-game hitting streak affect his plate approach?

Asked by The Times’ Jim Peltz if he’s been frustrated at the plate, Ethier replied, “No. I’m more frustrated with the ups and downs of the team and the way we’ve been playing. We all got to hit to win. It’s not just one or two of us.”

Ethier has only four home runs and 10 doubles on the season. Rookie Jerry Sands, who doesn’t have even half as many at-bats, has nine.
