Dodgers offer $25,000 reward for information in beating case, bringing total to $50,000

Sketch_640
The Dodgers have offered a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the two suspects who beat a Giants fan in the Dodger Stadium parking lot after Thursday’s season opener.

The reward matches the previous amounts offered, bringing the total reward to $50,000. The Dodgers made their offer known Monday evening.

Bryan Stow, 42, a paramedic from Santa Cruz, remains in critical condition after the brutal beating. He is in a medically induced coma.

Los Angeles County Supervisor Mike Antonovich had previously pledged $10,000, which was matched by the San Francisco Giants. American Medical Response, Stow’s employer, has pledged $5,000.

giants should donat 100.000 min to reward fund - if they had any class

The people who did this thing were complete A-holes. They no more represent Dodger fans than Loughner represents Tucson, OJ represents USC or John Wilkes Booth represents actors.

They should be caught and put away. There is no place for this kind of idiotic behavior. I love the passion of Dodger-Giant rivalry, but this is totally outside of that. It is attempted murder.

Looks like it took Frank 4 days to borrow the money from someone for the reward.

Good.

Not good enough but a start.

And it only took four days and lots of bad press.

These goons should be caught, arrested and pay for their crimes. As for Frank McCourt ... he is a jackass. I have been a Dodger fan for many years since I moved to Los Angeles in 1977. A once proud organization owned by the O'Malley's is now a shadow of it's former self. I refuse to attend games because I truly find the owner to be truly disgusting. These "fans" who did this are animals and have no self respect as well as no respect for the game. Mr McCourt has the fans he deserves.

The best response to this situation is for Dodger fans to boycott live games until these two suspects are apprehended and until the Dodger management has been able to show that fans, and visitors, are fully protected at games.

Uh, you mean the Dodgers should, don't you?

Since the assault happened on their propertie and was performed by their fans.

"property," even

The commissioner should rule that the Dodgers forfeit all home games until arrests are made... that will spur more tips and action than any reward money.

The Dodgers security should be blame for this indecent. Where are they at? Before the game they act like pit bulls, Hunting you down. Give tickets for having a drink or just hanging around in the back of your car or tuck... The security after the game suck...

i hope dodger fans are not stupid enough to travel to S.F. to catch a game because those giants fans are just LICKING THEIR CHOPS AND FOAMING AT THE MOUTH for payback.

I am a native Los Angelino and I was horrified and shocked when I first heard about this story. But I am even more shocked about the fact that this case is not being investigated as a Hate Crime. Where are you now, Eric Holder? Where are you now Obama? Let me get this straight. Hate crime perps can only be caucasian? I guess so. Let me send a message to you two thug punks who beat this man: You committed a hate crime and will be found. You've already bragged about it to your "homies." Your Vattos are already spreading the word. There are already witnesses from the stadium who have come forward and know you. Time is no longer on your gang-bangin' asses' side. You will get yours.....oh wait. No. You won't because Obama and Holder and the L.A.P.D. will never charge you with a hate crime. They'll simply send your sorry punk asses back to Mexico so you can cross back into the U.S.A.

@dee gee: Giants fans have way more class than Dodger fans. In fact, when Dodger fans are at Giants home games, they are drunk and obnoxious.

@suly: You are a fool. This is a liability for the Dodger clubhouse and management.

@the gang bangin' losers who beat up an innocent man: Justice will be served. One of your homies is going to rat on you.

[The Dodgers security should be blame for this indecent. Where are they at?]

Really? Why not blame the state legislature that unlike 38 other states will not let law abiding citizens carry concealed?

Police protection is a farce! They can only show up, clean up the mess, and investigate. Californians need to fight for their second ammendment rights!!!

$25,000? what a joke. nobody in the neighborhood is going to rat out the local bangers unless it's for enough money to get their whole family the hell out of L.A. forever. a million might do it ... maybe.

but who thinks McCourt actually wants to see these guys caught? if they're not, after a few weeks of muted outrage, the story will pretty much go away. if they're arrested & tried, it's going to be an ongoing PR disaster for the Dodgers, lasting months or even years.

agreed, 25 Gs just is not enough if the 10 hasn't already brought information

also agreed that somewhere, somebody has already been bragged to and people know

with any luck, there is more going on in the investigation that we don't yet know about - and I'm fine with that. LAPD can be silent until they catch 'em as far as I'm concerned, as long as they catch 'em. No updates from them necessary, just catch 'em, then tell us. And catch 'em soon.

Meanwhile, we pray for Mr. Stow and his friends who were attacked.

That Dodger pledge of $25K equals 1,667 cars parking at Dodger Stadium.
.
It actually took FOUR DAYS for Parking Lot Attendant Frank McCourt to come up with that?
