General Manager Ned Colletti said on Friday that he still didn’t know who would be appointed by the commissioner’s office to oversee the Dodgers, or when.

But in speaking to Major League Baseball on Thursday night, Colletti said he was informed of the basic guidelines the baseball operations department would be under.

“All I know is, from the baseball perspective, we’re operating under the same guidelines we were before,” Colletti said.

And what kind of guidelines were there before?

“Budgetary guidelines,” he said.

Asked to whom he would report until Commissioner Bud Selig appoints a trustee, Colletti replied, “I still report to Frank [McCourt].”

Colletti said he has exchanged text messages with the embattled owner to inform him about roster moves and injuries.
