Dodgers 0, Giants 0, end of first

March 31, 2011 |  5:32 pm

Dogders3_510 Frank McCourt is in his box for the first pitch, sitting next to tenor Placido Domingo, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and Tommy Lasorda.

Shadows are already beginning to fall, as left-hander Clayton Kershaw takes to the mound. Works for him, as he strikes out the side.

Only problem for the Dodgers, shortstop Rafael Furcal gets credit for the first error of the year with a high throw on a Freddy Sanchez grounder.

The Dodgers threaten in their half of the first, getting a pair of two-out singles by Andre Ethier and Matt Kemp, before Tim Lincecum gets James Loney to bounce out to first.
