Jamie McCourt: Frank changed the agreement

Jamie McCourt

The agreement that Frank McCourt says gives him sole ownership of the Dodgers was thrown into dispute Thursday when his estranged wife asked a court to consider three copies of that agreement that she says specifically exclude him from sole ownership of the team.

In a court filing Thursday, Jamie McCourt argues there were six copies of the agreement, three that provided Frank with sole ownership and three that did not. Dennis Wasser, an attorney for Jamie, said the wording that provided Frank with sole ownership was changed after Jamie signed the agreement, thus committing fraud.

If the judge deems as valid the three copies that Jamie has urged the court to consider, Wasser said, the case could be quickly decided in Jamie’s favor.

“I don’t think there’s much to argue about,” Wasser said.

The purpose of the agreement, Wasser said, was to shield the couple’s non-business assets from creditors. He said Jamie never would have signed an agreement in which she had been told she would have surrendered her interest in the Dodgers in exchange for sole ownership of the couple’s homes.

“They weren’t trading assets,” Wasser said. “There was no quid pro quo, to trade residential property for the Dodgers. That would have been absurd. No one would have ever done that."

Goin' DOWN Frankie baby!

I say they should have to sell all their property and each gets half. These dumb agreements shouldn't be allowed in a marriage. Not if they've been married as long as the McCourts. Frank McCourt sure is an idiot. Nobody should go into any kind of business deal with the SOB. If he tries robbing his own wife just think what he'd try to do to someone he cares nothing about.

SELL SELL SELL. Go back to Boston and don't let the door hit you on the way out.

As far as the post goes, it takes this long for Jamie to come up with different versions of the agreement?

"That would have been absurd. No one would have ever done that." That's what I would have said if someone mentioned that Jamie was banging her limo driver. Considering the class of this lady (sic), I'm sure she would never create some bogus agreements.

There is honor among thieves...

...but not always.

Wow! I hope that Jamie's side has more than this on her side. Isnt she a lawyer?

Brian said, "Nobody should go into any kind of business deal with the SOB [Frank McCourt]. If he tries robbing his own wife just think what he'd try to do to someone he cares nothing about."

He already did. His history as a businessman is full of it. Check out this lengthy story at LA Weekly: http://www.laweekly.com/2010-08-05/news/dodger-dog/1/. It's enough to curl one's hair.

All I hope for in this mess is that at the end of the day the McCourt's have to sell the team to a real owner who can really afford to own a baseball team. If this divorce gets even messier and more public, well, they are just reaping what they both have sewed. The sooner they both leave LA and go back to Boston, the better for everyone. Don't let the door hit you both on the a$$ on the way out....

Can't the judge just award Jamie the following: Matt Kemp, Russel Martin, Ned Colleti, Casey Blake, George Sherill, Broxton, Left and Right bleacher creatures and half of the LA taxi drivers?

Where is a positive energy beaming psychic when you need one?

It is at this point that Robin Williams likes to point out "...divorce (is) from the Latin word meaning to rip out a man's genitals through his wallet.”

Enjoy Frank...you've been divorcing Dodger fans for years.

With the high prices they charge for parking and a hot dog, they can both go to hell. Greedy robbers.

Peter O'Malley, where are you????

Does this mean Cuban is that much closer to owning the dodgers? If so, Im sure all of LA is relieved.

This will go down as one of the biggest fiascos in the history of the Los Angeles Dodgers. After consecutive trips to the NLCS, the team is literally one arm and maybe a bat away from going to the big dance. Rather than taking the next step, the owners (who profess so much love for the team), allow their personal, salacious lives to derail our team’s fortunes. Whatever the outcome of the divorce may be, there is no question that the biggest losers in this mess will be the Los Angeles Dodgers, their players and the fans. I only wish MLB could step in here somehow and usher these losers back to whatever Boston parking lot they came from.

Oooops I forgot to add a few more assets to Jamie's settlement. She can also take Cluless Joe and Don I will ride Clueless Joe's coattail as long as I can. And how can we forget Manny. I am sure he has plenty of fertility drugs for both of them.

Whoever wins, we lose! The McCourts are worse than Idi Amin!

The sooner this organization is sold, the better it will be for the Dodgers, MLB and the city.

Please, please somebody buy this team before these 2 selfish idiots totally destroy it. Jerry Buss, Magic, Eli Broad, Mark Cuban...ANYODY!

I hope Frank gets to keep the Dodgers. It's been very entertaining watching the Dodgers implode. Keep up the good work.

Believing anything these two say is akin to believing anything Roger Clemens said to Congress.

Bring back the O'Malleys! Frankie & Jamie are an embarrassment to baseball and should have to sell the franchise for what they have done to the Dodgers.

Save us Peter O'Malley!!!

YOUR KILLING INDEPENDENT GEORGE !!!

So a copy of which of these fraudulent documents is in the files of the banks?

BREAKING NEWS!!!! Ned Colleti has pulled the coup before the waiver deadline. According to sources close to the negotiations, the Dodgers will waived the McCourts and have Mark Cuban take over as the owner of the team. The deal has not been confirm pending a physical from Mark Cuban. The anonymous source states that once Mark Cuban owns the Dodgers, he will make some some front office changes with Logan White becoming the GM and signing Vin Scully to a long term deal. The long term deal will allow Vin to broadcast Dodger games from his home if he needs to with a personalized APP that is in in production. More on this on Baseball Tonight.

Break out the tar and feathers boys. It's time to run these carpetbaggers out of town on a rail.

What a couple of fine upstanding members of society. We're so thankful in Los Angeles that Bud Selig approved of the sale of the Dodgers to the McCourts as they have shown themselves to be such warm and caring citizens...in spite of the fact that they've paid no income taxes over the past five years.

Pass the popcorn.

This old bag needs to join Dr. Laura for tea in Florida.

Boycott the Dodgers!!!

We can just sit back and enjoy the fireworks now.

The baseball season is over for us, but this circus sideshow is just beginning.

Let the dirt fly!

The horror! The horror! Jamie McCourt bcomes Dodger's sole owner, plays Georgia Frontiere II and moves the Dodgers to Las Vegas. There she will have an unending procession of Limo Drivers to play with.

Mark Cuban- owner -Doyers. Has a nice ring to it

Mark Cuban please.

Why is this just coming out now? Sounds fishy to me.

JUST SELL THE TEAM AND TAKE YOUR DRAMA TO YO MOMMA! The Dodgers and their fans deserve better than this.

Who said "What would you rather have 45 fields of dreams or pay one baseball player 45 million dollars?" A month later she bought two houses in Malibu. Do the McCourts really love Dodger fans? Or do they love the $15 parking fee? Sell the team and leave the city with dignity.

Why must everyone continue to kick Frank McCourt while he is down. The poor fellow is holed up in a $1,000.00/night hotel suite and probably down to one haircut a day. Enough is a enough!

Lawyers trying a case in the newspapers is an old joke. Let the court decide. Everything else is B.S. Both McCourts are liars and social miscreants anyway.
Their lawyers are disgusting. The Dodger shyster, Marshall Grossman is the lowest of the lot.

Hard Knocks: Frank & Jamie owning the LA Dodgers

First episode highlights, Jamie bangs her body guard in a Hummer, after giving her pool boy a hummer in Malibu.

Frank is busy earning for the "family" forms a Nevada corporation to collect proceeds from hot dog sales.

The sons looking for future income plan to turn city hall into a high rise parking structure. And consult Donald Sterling on how not to pay employees.

tune in tonight on the McCourts cable TV channel
HWSFLA (how we stole from Los Angeles)

A Frontiere wanna-be.

line up the buyers and lets get on with it. get rid of manny, kemp, and joe. lets clean house and start with a fresh unit. the core looks good. just need to retool before it gets to late

lets here it for mark cuban, next owner of the dodgers

Go down to the Superior court building on Aug 30th and let them know how you feel. Take your friends and fellow fans along to show the McCourts who really does own this team.

At first I didn't want her to get a penny , but since I has screwed the Dodgers and MLB out of about 200 million + DOLLAR, I hope she gets half and they have to sell the team. He need to get his crooked ass back in Boston where he belongs.

***Frank contends that not presenting the Exhibit along with the California MPA was a clerical error, corrected by attaching it afterwards****

I guess Jamie was right about the "clerical error."

The Dodger Experience:

Parking: $15
T-shirt: $25
Four beers: $52
Four loge seats: $160
McCourts divorce entertainment : Priceless

UPDATE: Jamie consults her own personal 'bat-boy' - while Frank gets called out on a foul bunt - all the lawyers get caught stealing - then Jamie runs into the outfield wall trying to sell her case - Frank attempts a pickoff move and strains his groin - Jaime buys some time by brushing off her home plates - Frank does a double switch and confounds the defense - but Joe just can't figure out why we're still losing... welcome to Dodgerwood...
